Question : I need a spare part for my Cabrinha Kite. Where can I find the part I need to get me back on the water?
ASK

A complete listing of all available spare parts for recent model kites can be found on our website under the “Spare Parts” heading. Spare parts are available for purchase through any authorized Cabrinha dealer or distributor. Since it’s impossible to stock every part ever made, certain items may not always be in stock. Question : The red IDS landing line on the 2009 Switchblade I bought this year has faded to pink and is looking pretty worn out. Is this normal? And how can a get a replacement?
ASK

New replacement landing lines are now coated in polyurethane over the section that runs through the bar during normal riding. This will help ensure that these newer versions last the life of the kite. You can obtain these new landing lines as a free upgrade for each bar you purchased through your locally authorized Cabrinha dealer.

Question : The bungee that keeps tension on my IDS landing line has failed. It’s still connected, but now it droops pretty low whenever I trim the kite in. Is this a safety issue? How do I go about getting a replacement under warranty?
ASK

We do not consider this to be a safety issue. Neither the performance nor the safety systems on the kite are affected by this. New IDS landing line tensioners are available. They look almost identical to the originals. The difference is that the internal bungee now is visible on the ends and secured with markcloth as well as additional stitching. Please contact your local dealer and they will be able to assist you getting a replacement bungee under warranty. This will keep proper tension on you IDS landing line.

Question : I just bought a new 2009 Convert IDS and would like to know what PSI the kite should be pumped to.
ASK

All Cabrinha kites have been tested to 450mB of pressure prior to leaving our factory. This is the equivalent to approximately 6.75 psi. Most gauges are not created equal and we’ve seen plenty that are not accurate. Therefore, we recommend using the method described in the user manual that came with your kite for best results.
