Brand Manager – Cabrinha Kiteboarding

Cabrinha Kites, the world's premiere kiteboarding brand, is looking for an experienced Brand Manager who is passionate about the sport, is a proven leader and can deliver innovative, insight-driven products and marketing. Located in Hong Kong and reporting to the Pryde Group CEO, the right candidate will be working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where he/she will generate strategies that will drive growth, increase market share, improve customer experience and expand the brand's equity worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders to provide the brand vision, mission, goals and strategies
  • Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies
  • Product development — utilize market-driven insights to drive long-term growth of the brand. Translate insights into profitable product innovations. Develop selling proposition and sufficient launch support plans to markets. Establish cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates.
  • Market Analysis — analyze how the brand is positioned in the market and extract targeted consumers insights. Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors' activities to identify opportunities and key issues
  • Oversee the sales and distribution of the Cabrinha product range worldwide
  • Oversee and monitor marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with product line and sales/distribution strategy. Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Manage supply chain and commercial relationships with suppliers
  • Introduce new and innovative growth strategies
  • Own timeline and budget management
  • Deliver results for the brand focusing on net sales and consolidated brand contribution
  • Align the company around the brand's direction, choices and tactics
  • Manage the team and get the best from everyone

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as a Brand Manager
  • Leadership — ability to drive both short and long-term brand growth and profitability
  • Analytical - ability to convert analysis into insights, sustainable strategies, and actionable plans.
  • Superior critical thinking and problem solving - resourceful at achieving objectives / results despite obstacles. Able to sort through complex data to identify the core issues and develop a plan of action to resolve them.
  • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Strong communication and influence skills – clear, concise, and persuasive in style. Leads thinking of both marketing and cross-functional counterparts and agencies. Ability to build strong relationships with agency, cross-functional teams, and vendors.
  • Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix and experience in devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Energized by an entrepreneurial environment – not afraid to do things themselves to get things done. Comfortable making decisions with limited information and resources. Self reliant, proactive and has a pioneering spirit. Takes initiative and follows-through on commitments to achieve results.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, business or a related field
  • Knowledge of kiteboarding or related sports industry

Product Manager – Cabrinha Kiteboarding

Cabrinha Kites, the world's premiere kiteboarding brand, is looking for an experienced Product Manager to oversee the conception, development and ongoing improvement of all products in the Cabrinha division range. Located in Hong Kong and reporting to the Cabrinha Brand Manager, the ideal candidate will be accountable for on-time delivery of homologated products that meet the product brief specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Brand Manager in translating market-driven insights into profitable product innovations
  • Create product range plans and development timelines together with the Brand Manager, for all Cabrinha product categories: kites / boards / marketing products. Communicate range plans and timelines internally and with all relevant
designers, factories and vendors. 

  • Accountable for achieving functional product performance as well as a design aesthetic that is consistent with Cabrinha's brand language.
  • Accountable for delivering product to the market on time.
  • Create and implement product development briefs, raw material specifications, development processes, testing and QC requirements
  • Manage designers, engineers, testers and all subcontracted consultants in the development of a product.
  • Manage all costs related to the product development process.
  • Measure and improve efficiency of all product related processes.
  • Oversees any necessary product accreditation
  • Crisis management

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in a Product Management role
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, industrial/product design or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of composites manufacturing production methods, materials and processes
  • Knowledge of 3D and CAD software used for product design
  • Well organized with excellent coordination skills
  • Able to multi-task and handle different projects at the same time
  • Self-motivated, out-going, attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
  • Experience in managing a team, able to work under pressure, independently and with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Knowledge of kiteboarding or related sports industry
  • Excellent command of the English language
