For the third consecutive year, URGE. Norway hosted the CABRINHA Kiterace - Kongen av Færder in cooperation with Samsung and Metro Rørleggerservice.
Færder is a big lighthouse in the middle of the ocean, welcoming all vessels in to safer waters into the Oslo fjord. The race is open to anyone with a kite - no matter what gear you ride on or where you come from, the island of Hvasser host kiters for a great race, and an even greater party. This year - the conditions were fierce, giving the kiters an easy glide downwind to the lighthouse, butstrong headwinds and massive swells made the battle back to the shore a memorable one. The winner, and King og Færder, of the Mens Open Class of the 2013 race was Christian Juell, followed by Tom Rune Jarandsen and Sebastian Wang-Hansen. The Open Womens class was won by Queen Lisa Løkås, followed by Ingrid Danielsson and Elisabeth Furuholmen. The mens Twin Tip Class, was won by Prince Geir Norland, followed by Terje Halsteinsgaard og Frode Hernes.
Big thanks to all who volunteered, the Norwegian Red Cross Rescue Boat, Hvasser Gjestehus and Hvasser Motell and off course- all the riders!
