Cabrinha Slider is in the water!!!
Forty plus individuals heaved and hoed the massive all new Cabrinha
Slider into the flats in Nags Head, NC on Monday May 28th. The Cabrinha
team has been hitting the new monster slider all week at Kitty Hawk
Kites great flat-water riding spot in the Outer Banks, NC. The true
heroes of the slider are truly those that donated their blood, sweat,
and tears to erect the monster fun box. Special thanks goes out to
Cabrinha Slider project visionary and Kitty Hawk Kites guru Chris
"Hollywood" Butzen. Hollywood saw this project through from conception
to completion; without Hollywood's countless hours interviewing team
riders, consulting with contractors, pouring through tide tables, and
costing the project out, there would be no slider! A very special
thanks also to Rick Schneck, and Randall. These guys both run
successful construction businesses in the Outer Banks and they pretty
much built the entire slider - way to go!! Lastly, thanks to all the
kiters out there that want to ride sliders. Without you, having a
slider that can both introduce riders to this discipline of kitesurfing
while still challenging the likes of Andre Phillip, Damien Leroy, Jon
Modica, and Susi Mai would never be a possibility!
