Shawn Richman Scores Big in Bay Area
On a recent 10 day visit to the San Francisco Bay Area, Cabrinha
International Team Rider, Shawn Richman managed to show off his wave
riding skills at Waddell, his freestyle skils at 3rd Ave., and
demonstrated his racing skills in the burgeoning race scene.
Shawn finished in first place with four bullets (1,1,1,1) at the
Thursday night kite course races at 3rd Ave., finished 2nd in the
Ronstan Bay Challenge long distance race (St Francis Yacht Club to the
Golden Gate Bridge to the Berkeley Pier and back to the St.
Francis…approx 30miles), and 2nd in the Ronstan course racing. He then
returned to the St. Francis 4 days later to capture a second overall in
the Cabrinha Race Series with three 2nds.
Cabrinha riders, Jeff Kafka, and Nils Stolzlechner finished 3rd and 4th
respectively in the Ronstand Bay Challenge and Kafka captured an
overall first at the Cabrinha Race Series with two firsts and a third.
