Our test team has recently identified an issue relating to a section of the Crossbow 3 and Contra 3 bridles. This issue pertains to all Crossbow 3 and Contra 3 models delivered to date.

The 4B bridle section which passes through the pulley located on the leading edge of the kite, may become shorter in length when subject to wear over time. The gradual shortening of the 4B bridle causes an incremental loss in performance but does not affect control system security.

We recommend that owners of the affected kites replace the 4B bridle line with a free replacement line set issued by an authorized Cabrinha Dealer. To identify where the 4B bridle section is located on your kite refer to the Bridle 4B Replacement Instructions offered with the replacement line set. The new replacement line set is made from a different material which will not change in length over time. In addition, we have changed the length specification of the 4B bridle to provide an increase in performance over the production version.
